mobile-legends-hero-pools

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game that prides itself on not being pay-to-win. Winning and doing well in the game will rely more on the player’s skills and the teamwork of players within the game. This is one reason why many people like to play the game because they don’t have to worry about spenders having an unfair advantage.

This makes you wonder if spending money on Mobile Legends is worth it if there won’t be an advantage. Sure being one of the firsts to unlock new heroes can help you master them early and be good at using them. But what about skins? Is it worth it to purchase them? Let’s discuss this in this article.

How Do You Get Skins in Mobile Legends

Skins are costumes or appearances that you can equip to heroes to give them a unique look. You can acquire skins for free, usually as rewards for completing quests or getting lucky with the “lucky spin” game. But more often than not, skins are acquired by purchasing them using diamonds. It’s the premium in-game currency available in Mobile Legends, and the only way you can get them is by buying them with real money.

This means that you will need to spend real money if you are looking to acquire some of the skins for your heroes. But aside from providing a unique look, what other things does skin can do on the battlefield.

Additional Stats

One of the advantages that hero skins provide is that they have additional stats. For example, Saber’s Epic Skin will give a +8 on his Physical Attack. Similarly, Nana’s Elite Skin gives her +8 Magic Power when you equip it. So skins can make your hero a little stronger. It’s not a lot, considering how small the added stat is. But still, it’s an added stat that will help in individual battles. Just don’t expect to be overpowered when you equip them suddenly.

Added Intimidation Factor

Another advantage of using skins is that it can add the intimidation factor. Equipping your hero with skin will make you look like a serious player, which will intimidate some players. It is because most people will think that you’re good at using that particular hero to the point that you even invested in skins. Of course, this can also backfire since they will try their best to target you as often as possible during matches.

Also, your hero looks unique in this kind of phase. Although this is not an advantage, it’s more of providing you with a unique and cool appearance. This is especially true if the skin equipped on your hero looks incredible.

Is it Worth It To Spend on Skins?

Looking at what skins can bring to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, I would say it’s not worth it, especially if you are just a casual player. I think it will be a waste of money on your part if you’ll spend on skins and you’re just playing the game casually, or you’re not looking to be a serious gamer. But if you’re competitive and would want to compete against good players, then purchasing some skins might be worth it for you.

Just make sure you don’t spend too much on them. Yes, skins can provide added stats, but you won’t feel them when you’re playing. It’s much better if you rely on the free method of obtaining skins, or use fragments to allow you to use these skins for a certain period temporarily.
